Well, I see that this is the same way I post pix on facebook. When I used to try it, and had my camera set on pixel 5.2, the file was too large to post. When you send it thru your pix program it sizes it down, automatically, but NOT just when you attach a file. Guess you would have to do that, first, yourself, then post. Anyhow, the problem with the 3.0 pixel size, is that is when you double click on them and make them giant size to SEE, they get so grainy. Oh well, can't be helped! I can now post pix and it is easy!

Hi Billie;
I'm not sure what software you are using to save pics, but this one is saved as a PDF file. That is usually for docs. If you have a photo editor, you may be able to change the file extension to jpeg, then attach normally.
Check out Irfanview. It's a free download and I have used it for 3 or 4 years. Never any spam, no bugs, small and just sits in my computer till I need it.

Just playing. Tried to find a picture on my computer that I haven't shared on the Porch. Spotted this one. Son Will took the picture through a window of their house. DIL Jamie and pup Sam are playing in the dining room. ;D

One more picture. This is for all the granddaddies on the Porch.
My cousin Emery, proud grandfather of about 8 or 9 grandchildren, created this maze of shrubbery to entertain the grands. They love it. Emery planted the shrubs and keeps them trimmed neatly. The kids have a ball, running through the maze, getting stuck, then getting unstuck, eventually finding their way to the exit.
This picture shows another cousin's son, a special child, who recently visited from Texas. He loved the maze too. I'm trying to get the G-Man interested in mapping out a maze, but so far all he wants to do is cut and bale hay. Maybe one day.

C'mon in, practice with the new stuff. Ask questions too, be glad to help all I can. 4rum, I will practice just as soon as I arrive home tonight and on my own computer. Meanwhile, please tell me how many photos can be accommodated on a single post. You know, I think that the 'browse' attachments will only allow one pic or attachment per post. I guess that's good reason to keep my Photobucket account. I can stack 'em or put 'em side by side and put gobs of thumbnails into one post. I'll check support, but I think we're limited to one attachment per post.

I will have to move it, but was just playing to see if I understood the procedure. I'll try another picture just to see if I can do it.

4rum, do you prefer Irfanview or Photobucket as your photo hosting site? Today you mentioned them both. I don't particularly care for advertisements accompanying my pictures. After you mentioned Irfanview, I accessed the Infanview home page and liked what I read there. Is Infranview free of advertisements? charliemyboy; Sorry I was talking about both and wasn't clear. Photobucket is a host. You place pics there and they are archived on a remote server where you can go in and get them or a link to them. Irfanview is an editor. It's a tool to work with your photos in your pic files within your computor. You can crop, resize etc. There are also effects such as 3D, and sepia. It also include a media player (though I've found Media Player Classic to be better) and will let you change file extensions easily and quickly. If someone should send you a pic you want very badly, but it has a crazy file extension, you can change it to a jpeg with Irfanview. Many site limit the size file as well as the size of your photos. A 300 pixel bitmap (though high quality) is a waaaaay larger file size than a 300 pixel jpeg. I like Irfanview. It's small, doesn't take up much hard drive space, and is very compatible with all my other software. I haven't had ANY issues with it in the years I've used it. Go to 'downloads.com' type in Irfanview and then read the reviews there. It's handy and it's FREE!

Billie, I love the picture! Lawson is a perfect doll. Papa is cute, too! Thanks, Beth. She is a cutie and I am not the least bit biased. She was with us from Thursday thru Sunday. I hated to let her go home, but I surely was glad to see her Momma and Daddy.
